my decision came today from the university of oregon. that is really the only motivation i have for writing. kim left this morning for trenton, nj. it was quite a hectic morning. aside from being very tired, all is well now. planning on more of the same. i know this is retarded, but chris was booted last night from american idol, and i don't know if i even want to watch the show anymore. i think it's pretty lame he didn't make it over katherine. she's only still in it because she is so incredibly hot. whatever.
i've started listening to 3wk radio. i'm putting idobi radio on the side for a few weeks to see what 3wk does for me. and either way, i'm sure it's better than wfmu.
Silent Hill (2006): first off, the sound is excellent. really cool sounds effects and good volumes really add to the quality of the movie. i don't know why so many scary movies end up involving a scary looking dark haired possessed little girl. it all works though. the characters make really irrational and unreasonable decisions, but they have some very convincing moments of acting. i really liked the balance of the movie. in the first hour or so, you are scared out of your wits with lots of action and really cool special effects. the movie isn't way over the top scary, but certainly scary enough. the second half is a little slower and starts piecing things together. at first i was bothered by the pace of the second half, but as questions started to get answered, my attention became drawn into the plot. they also had many subtle "moves" by the characters or music cues that come straight out of video games. but they were never over the top. and they certainly leave room for a sequel. i'm tempted to buy it, but it should for sure be seen. by the way, i've never played the game. watched my bro play a lot of it back in the day, but that's it. so you don't have to know about the game to see the movie.
